While blood donation itself takes 8 - 10 minutes, the entire process can take 15 - 20 minutes.
How often can I donate blood?
After donating blood, you must wait for a minimum of 8 weeks (2 months) before donating again.
If I have a tattoo, can I donate blood?
Having a tattoo does NOT mean you can’t donate blood. However, after getting a tattoo, you must wait 6 months before donating blood.
Is donating blood painful?
Donating blood is not a painful process. You may feel a slight prick but it is virtually painless.
How long will it take for my body to replenish the blood?
The plasma in the blood is replaced within 24 hours, while the red blood cells take 4 - 6 weeks to replenish themselves.
